For general contractors

The homeowner found someone else first.

Most jobs you never hear about were decided on the first screen of a Google search. We put your company on that screen, so the calls you are already losing start coming to you instead.

What this actually gets you

A general contractor does not need more website visitors. You need the phone to ring with homeowners in your area who are planning the kind of job you want to be doing, at the size you want to be doing it.

That comes down to three things: showing up when they search, looking like the obvious choice when they land on you, and making it easy to get in touch. Everything we do is one of those three.

What you get each month

  • Your business showing up for the searches homeowners near you actually use
  • A Google listing that is complete, current and gathering reviews
  • Pages for the jobs you want more of, not a single page that lists everything
  • A report that says how many calls came in and where they came from

The process

How we work

Four stages, in order. You see the market before you commit to anything.

01

We look at your market first

Before anything is sold, we show you what homeowners in your area search for, who comes up ahead of you, and how much of that work is realistically winnable. If the answer is "not much," we say so.

02

We fix what buyers see

Your Google listing, your site, your photos, your reviews. The things a homeowner judges in about ten seconds before deciding whether to call you or the next name on the list.

03

We build the pages the work lives on

A page for each service you actually want more of, written for the way homeowners describe it, not the way the trade does. Kitchen remodels, additions, ADUs, whole-home.

04

We keep climbing, and you see the numbers

Monthly reporting in plain English: calls, where they came from, which searches moved. No dashboards you have to decode.

Why contractors only

We do not work with restaurants, retail or salons. Contractors are the whole business, which means we already know what a $40,000 kitchen job is worth to you, why the slow season hurts, and how homeowners choose between three bids.

We also publish Contractor Standings, a quarterly ranking of licensed remodeling contractors scored from public review and licensing data. It is a separate editorial project, and it is how we spend a lot of time looking at how contractors actually compare in a market.

No pitch. No pressure.

Common questions

Straight answers.

How long before a general contractor sees results?

Most markets show movement in 60 to 90 days, and competitive ones take four to six months to break through. We tell you which one you are in before you spend anything, because the honest number is usually the one that decides whether this is worth doing.

What does SEO cost for a general contractor?

It depends on how competitive your area is and how many services you want to compete for, so any number we put on this page would be wrong for half the contractors reading it. We look at your market first, then give you the real figure on the first call. The call is free and there is no obligation to go ahead.

Do I need a new website?

Not always. If your current site is sound, we work with it. If it is slow, thin, or hard to use on a phone, it will hold back everything else, and we will tell you that directly rather than charging you for work that cannot land.

Is this better than buying leads?

They do different jobs. Bought leads are shared with competitors and stop the day you stop paying. Search is slower to build and the calls are yours, from people who looked for your service rather than filling in a form on someone else’s site. Most contractors we work with keep some of both.

Do you work with contractors outside California?

Yes. The work is the same wherever you are, because it is about your own area rather than ours. We currently work with contractors in California, Washington and Oregon.
